Hi Mocky,

Just a couple of things to bear in mind with imported objects. They can, though not very often, cause corruptions in the model leading to rendering failures. The bigger problem however is that they can dramatically increase the size of the model, causing a slowdown in editing and rendering so it is wise to avoid very complex objects or too many in one model, especially if you don't have a superfast PC with loads of RAM. They can seriously blow out the size of the catalogue too and have been known to corrupt a catalogue also. It is wise to backup your catalogue from time to time anyway, especially if you edit things a lot or add other elements. Making extra copies of the model is also very wise, even if you do not import other objects.

I understand the rendering is too slow with more and complex objects, and we do avoid use a lot of extras.

I will walk step to step.
When I will design my home, for example, I need a corner sink for the kitchen, but for the moment I will start designing ashtrays and testing them.

Hi Mocky,

The reminder about imports etc was just a caution - someone one time imported a very detailed 3D tree and replicated it dozens of times to make a forest - the program just virtually stopped! As long as you are aware of the situation that's fine.

What is wrong with the corner sink arrangements in TFP? Or can't you just get the style you want?

Sink looks very nice. You should be able to fit it into a TFP corner cabinet or make a corner cabinet from TFP cabinets fitted together.....just turn "off" (allow) collision to overlap things together.

I have not done a special sink in several years and previously installing an imported sink would not cut out the counter-top..may need to check for that.  Could use a floor or something from TFP that you can make a cutout...or even a simple model from Blender for the counter-top in that sink area.

You might want to do a test render in TFP too of just the sink as TFP does not do any smoothing and facets from a model sometimes render oddly.

I think I will not have problem, as you say, for do that. My idea is if the cabinet doesn't exists and have other that i like, export to 3ds, combine with another program and import it again. One comment, Doug, I tried to make this sink with the 123d and I not have obtained a good result.

Sorry I can't help you in Spanish but obviously Pat can if necessary.

In the image below on the left is the corner sink from TFP  - this is what I thought you meant initially. Then I saw your Blender image which made it much easier to visualise, so as an example in the image I just used the two side sinks from TFP and made the corner traingular sink by cutting a 'traingular hole with rounded corners in a piece of Floor. However, I then looked mere closely at your image and wondered if it was not actually a sink. Is it maybe just a corner draining board not a sink as such?

A draining board would be very easy to do and would just sit on existing cupboards and sinks. No need to make cupboards, sinks or have the problem of trying to cut holes in things, so the cupboard top does not show inside the sink itself.
