Hi Mocky,

Sorry - I'm still trying to understand this.

Which is the front (where someone stands)? Is it the long edge of the triangular draining board or the short one?
If it is the short one, then the faucet would be in the way, so I assume it is the long one, which would mean the corner sink would be on an outside corner not an inside one (as in my image). Is that right?

Is your image, when stationary, the back or the front? Is the faucet in the corner of the triangle, so if it was on your image, it would be at the point where the two sinks almost meet and a person would stand opposite?

(I can't believe how hard it is to convery ideas accurately in words - or even pictures it seems!. I can understand now, how, when I try to convey something to a builder, he still gets it wrong!    Thank goodness we now have 3D models to get things right first - hopefully!!  )

I think I finally got it! 

I know the sinks do not look quite like yours and the 'triangular draining board' does not 'drain' into the sinks as such, but it only took about 5 few minutes to make, using the built-in TFP components.  I suppose it depends on the time you have available and how close up renders will be done. If they are just from a distance in a kitchen then close detail won't be seen anyway.

It could be made to look more like yours, with the 'draining channels' as well but that would take more time obviously.

What beautiful result with only TFP tools (and in 5 mins). I do not aspire to achieve10% of that result never.

Your written English is just fine and understandable.

I think from your expertise you will do fine with TFP.

I have not tried using 123d with any other program. 

.obj and .3ds usually work well between programs....but sometimes programs export files that don't work in other programs.  For example the newest SketchUp output .skp won't work with earlier versions of TFP but SU can save to earlier .skp versions which do work with TFP...search this forum for answers if you run into that problem.

I have no doubt that you will achieve similar results in a very short time. This type of image is not hard to achieve. I will give you the brief steps for the whole image - in case you or anyone else wants to try it out just for practice. It will obviously take you more than 5 min (that was the time to make the draining board and move it into position), but the rest was straight out of TFP so not much more than that either).

Draw 4 walls to make a room and click a ceiling into place (and a Floor if Automatic Floor is off).
Select a ceiling light and drop it near the corner - just in front of the cupboard fronts.
Select a corner cupboard and drop it into the corner - adjust its width to make the front edge only small.
Select matching straight cupboards and drop them alongside (if you have Collision on they will snap into place).
Select a single sink and drop one into each cupboard.
Select both sinks and turn off the faucets.

Now for the draining board.

1. Select a Floor (any), right click and choose Floor By Picking Points.

2. Click on one of the corners of the sink and draw a six sided shape for the draining board (Basically a triangle but with the three corners cut off - hexagon I suppose).

3. While still selected, right click and select Curve, click on the blue square on the straight edge that you made across the corners and curve each one separately (you have to select Curve to do each one)

4. Do the same with the back and front edges if they are curved. Move the edges in or out as needed.

5. While still selected choose Properties and set the thickness to about 5mm.

6. While still in Properties go to the Appearance Tab and set all four surfaces to the same Material as the Sinks

7. While still selected right click and Elevate to the height of the cabinet (876mm?) plus 5mm (this will lift the piece of 'floor' just above the cabinet).  Adjust this a mm at a time if necessary to get it to align with the thickness of the top edges of the sink.

8. Choose a Faucet and drop it into place and you are done.

If you want to render it: Switch to 3D view, go to View/3D Real View, Select Advanced.

Click Options and on the Render tab turn OFF Daylight, set the Quality to 5, set antialias to 4 and give it a save as name and render. Depending on your PC it may take a minute or two to produce the image.

On my image you will notice a slight recess in the draining board - if you want to do that, select, right click and choose Cut Opening.
Draw a similar shape inside the original draining board to represent the recess. That will cut a hole.  (That is how the original triangular sink was done but the piece of floor was 150mm not 5mm). Use another piece of Elevated floor to provide the bottom of the recess, set a couple of mm below to top of the first and set the appearance to the same colour.

I hope you can follow all that. It was provided so you can see how it was done and how quick it can be done.

Your 'Blender' sink looks fine and, as long as you can save it as a 3DS file,  could be used with TFP cabinets. You will have insert the cabinets and then turn the Counter tops off (or it will show inside the sinks). You can use a piece of Floor, as described above, to create a new counter top, cutting holes where the sinks are.
