Would be really nice to be able to make a video of a scene over a specified time period e.g. 12 hr day and see how the light changes.

Quite a nice idea!

You could do it now of course by rendering, change time, render etc and string it together as a movie but an automated way to do it would be great.

Plants will grow over time too, so that might a be another nice animation to make that easier too!

Lets hope the programmers take up both of these ideas.

I do that now by exporting .dxf from TFP to Carrara Studio and run sunrise to sunset (Carrara also changes sun color thru the day to be more realistic) videos (about 20 secs each) at equinox, first day of winter and first day of summer (min/max shadows) from 3 "birds eye" views...and extract "stills" of a few scenes.....and sometimes do similar for inside shots to see shadows in a room from windows and effect of overhangs and trees.

Have not done plant growth tho.

Making that easy in TFP would be a plus.

Be prepared for large files....but codec compression can be useful too.
