Thanks Rob, it does make sense and I can understand the method. What part of the world are you from? Australia is my home.

Hi Bob.

It seems to me that when you draw a line to the right it is 0 (zero deg) , toward top of page it is 90 deg.
If you select the whole model > right click > rotate, 90 deg is to the left (not up). So, it is 90 deg different than a line that is drawn.

So to match the model to a boundry line, use the line tool , snap it to the bottom right corner of the boundry, then move it 'upwards' until it falls on the right boundry line, don't snap , just move it into position and then look in the Inspector Bar and note the angle.

In the attached the imaginary line drawn over the imaginery boundry reads 115 deg.
When I subtract 90 deg (difference noted above) , the result is 25 (deg).

Now I just select the whole model, right click , rotate, place cursor on lower right corner of the model and it is ready to rotate. I start the rotation and continue to hold down the left mouse, then enter 25 deg in the inspector bar (still holding down the left mouse) and hit ENTER on the keyboard.

This will rotate the model to match the boundry. You can add a guide line and an aligned dimension which will give you the set back needed. Now reselect the whole model and snap it to the aligned dimension offset line.

1 'Draw' a line on right boundry > note the angle.
2 Subtract 90 deg from angle and write down that new angle
3 Select the whole model > rotate > enter new angle.
4 Use guideline and aligned dimension to create offset distance.
5 Move whole model to aligned dimension

Thank you Jack, a very simple method and easy to use.
