designer view

I am using turbofloorplan pro v 15 and experiencing a problem with designer view.  I have to produce a general plan showing roof layouts; when I switch to designer view ground floor  I see the roofs of the single storey parts of the structure and a section of the 1st storey. - switching to second floor I see the main roof and lose the roofs of single storey parts.  I can get around the problem by deleting  the second floor and re-creating the main roof - is there an easier way of doing this?

Not exactly a 2D view but if you work the camera as a telephoto lens far away (very high) it is close.....simply render a 3D top view with sun at high noon.

There may be a way using designer view but I have not played with it....
maybe no "dim" of layers? 
Or make a 3rd floor dup of lower floors and put a roof over that placed well above/out of way of real floors and do a designer view of the 3rd floor w/roof....or
make a copy .bld file of your final plan and do what you were doing on the temp.bld file setup used only to make designer top view....and not risk ruining your master design.bld

Hi Teg,

The easiest way to get a view of the whole roof, similar to what you would get on Designer View, is to use the centre option of 3D Quick View. This will give you a direct overhead view, similar to what you would get by positioning the overhead as Doug mentioned.
