Hi to all. I have used various versions of TFP 3D. I have v17 now
and I must be missing something, but I can't seem to find how to
create a section view as I did in the other versions. I would appreciate
any help. Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes, you can create sectional views (also called cross sections) using TFP V17 / TFP V2015

Please, follow the explanation with image attached
1 - In Live View, select Elevation View Mode (upper-right corner, outlined in green)
2 - Select the desired view (outlined in blue)
3 - Select the 3D cutaway slider => set face that you are going to cut (in this case, front) => move the slider up to visualize the desired section (outlined and point in red)
You can create the elevations and cross sections with or without materials, colors, etc.

Thanks Patricia, I knew there had to be a way but apparently
did not read enough to catch it. I will study some more
although so far it is very similar to v14.
Thank you again, Mike

Hi Mike,

You're welcome!  :)
Some features are similar, however other features are quite different.
TFP, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), check the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components.
If you are interested, I wrote a training eBook that includes step by step tutorials and more than 1000 color images (showing tables, examples, rendering results and screenshots), covering the TurboFloorPlan Version 17 and Version 2015.
