             Hi  :

I'm running into a problem using Photoboards.  The photobard in my current project isn't showing up when rendered.   I checked in 2D and 3D modes to see if the "photoboard"  in proper position.  I also checked in View Properties to see if it was  "visible",  which it is.   The  "drinking glass" icon is  'pink' showing a full glass (versus having it unchecked showing an empty glass.    The reason I'm using a photoboard, is that I can adjust the position of it....as a background.   Advice ?

Hi Garystan,

Is the photoboard visible before you do the rendering (in ordinary 3D view)?

        Allan :

Yup......the photoboard is visible.  I wonder if it's a case of positioning.  A couple of times,  the photoboard disappeared when I repositioned the camera before rendering. Then when I (once again) repositioned the camera, the photoboard reappeared.

I can't think of anything that would cause this. Can you give me a screen shot of the plan view, showing the camera position and the photoboard? If the photoboard does not show up well change the 2D colour so it can be seen easily. Seeing the plant may trigger in my mind  a possible cause.

     Allan :

Here's the general layout of the project.   I tried moving the photoboard closer, more to the side of the structure and adjusting the properties. I couldn't get it right.    One pic shows the layout.   The other.......I just (cheating) photoshopped the background into the desired position.

Hi Garystan,

What effect do you get when you do render it? Is it just black?

If you have the sun position as you have, coming in through the window onto the bed, then there would be no light on the front of the photoboard. It would be shining on the back of it. While light reflects off other surfaces inside it doesn't outside - maybe just a bit off the Terrain. Maybe that is the issue?
