After putting your advice into practice I now have REAL gutters ...and the footings better match/follow the bay window ...the internal and external lights are off during daylight renders ...Basic renders are SO much faster  ...and the sun is now set at the correct angle ...I'm liking it!  Next...downpipes...I've been reading on this forum that others have experienced some problems with them so I'll see how I go at getting them to work.... then some gardening.

As a newbie to TFP I'm doing this render of my own home just to learn how to use the software. 
Here is the latest version using the ideas suggested to me so far...I've got a wall under the bay windows now, and I used the basic render... now to fix those pesky gutters!

To match your photo better...you might want to add curtains to the bay window and "adjust" exterior colors to match your photo (if that is a goal...or just as good learning/practice).
If you can't find a matching color in catalog...you can save a file copy of closest match, use Photoshop or similar to change the color, save with a similar file name, import into TFP (or copy to same materials location;
such as: C:\ProgramData\IMSIDesign\TURBOFloorPlan3D Home & Landscape PRO 16),
apply to items as needed.

Do you know where the 'background' images are hiding?  And how to import them into my renders?  I'd like to add a more subtle sky (like the photo) and even a nice sunset sky.

look here, same place as all textures; look for file names starting with background

C:\ProgramData\IMSIDesign\TURBOFloorPlan3D Home & Landscape PRO 16\Textures\Background-Sky2.jpg

(I keep a link handy for this location
C:\ProgramData\IMSIDesign\TURBOFloorPlan3D Home & Landscape PRO 16\Textures
as a place to see images for easy search and possible use for other progs and as a place to save a file and then find it easily to add to catalog/materials list from within TFP)

also see all the other folders with textures such as catalogs, lights, plants, sounds, etc.

I'm sure you're all sick of giving the SAME advice over and over to newbies, and I'm sure all these answers are already solved SOMEWHERE on this forum, but finding the answers isn't so easy.  Thanks for your patience.

Hi Garry,

Don't worry about asking, we all did the same thing when we first started.
The forum Search works OK but it is a question of findimg the right word, which isn't always easy.

I am planing on introducing a Frequently Asked Questions section soon, with links to the best answers, so that should make things easier. Just a question of the time now to set it up!
