Hi Peter,

All you need to do is go to File / Catalogues / Import BIM and while these menu options are displayed, press the Print Screen button. Depending on the keyboard you are using it will be abbreviated, probably to Prt Sc and it is usually on the top row of keys.

This will copy the screen image to the computer's Clipboard. Now you can open any photo editing program you have, such as Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, or even just Microsoft Paint (that automatically comes with Windows) and paste it in (Edit / Paste or Ctrl + V). You can then just save it as an image (JPG) and the click Attachments on the forum and attach it to your reply. You could even paste it into a Word document but that has to be opened to see it so a JPG is better.

For any messages that pop up you can do a similar thing but if you hold down the Alt key when you press 'Prt Sc', if will copy just the actual message box instead of the whole screen.

hi allen, the file i couldn't transfer was "270,260,250 and 230 brick veneer". i just tried the "brick veneer walls" and the split page appeared and i transferred it ok. i tried again with the other bim file and it failed as before; perhaps it failed before it reached my computor.

Allan Chesney

Hi Peter,

Both files were created exactly the same.way so both should work. I would try down loading it again in case the first one was corrupted.

hi Allen, i deleted that bim file then i transferred it to my computor again from your letter. i tried again to transfer it to my tfp, same result- no go!   Peter.

Hi Peter,

I have attached the file again for you to try it again. Before doing so I imported this same BIM into my own copy of TFP and it worked perfectly.

Please try it again using the attached copy and let me know how it goes.
