how do i put a roof on a raised bit of a house?

is the window frame odd because it is partly in the dormer window?
and where did the floor go!!!

The top part of the wall is the dormer wall which become invisible when it reaches the roof line. The lower part of the wall is your ground floor walls.  

Simplest way to fix this is to extend the height of this front ground floor wall to 144" (from 3D view inside, select the wall immediately at the side of the door, right click and change the height to 144"). It will Hide the dormer wall in effect as it is thicker and the window trim will appear all around the window.

In restrospect the roof with the dormer should proabably have been inserted on the Ground floor location and the roof over the garage through to the back of the house whould have been on the second (Roof2) location, however it should make little difference.

If you deleted any walls of the dormer section the floor would dissappear as it was an automatic floor and the dormer walls create a 'room' so it put a floor in. Go to the ground floor and insert a floor again.
