My ground floor external wall is red London brick for approx the first metre and half and then the rest of the house is white painted pebbledash. It is easy to change the appearance of the first floor to poured concrete ( I will try my own photo soon ) but I do not know how to achieve the split surface effect for the ground floor wall.

Hi Tom,

You will probably find all the information you need in this post:  forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,1028.msg4938.html#msg4938.

If you need more details, try the forum Search (for 'Wainscot' may be best), or just ask again.
