Dimensions Changing location of text

The attached screen dump shows automatic dimensions applied to a drawing. Question: is it possible to reverse the text from one side of the line to the other on one side only to match the dimensions on the opposite site.
I have changes the scale of the model view to world (that is 1:1 scale) so that it is easier to import into TC. Are there any issues apart from having to change all the dimension and text settings to match the new scale.

Hi Bob,

Dimensions are totally customisable. Go to Settings / Dimension Settings.
The image below will take you to the point to change the text to below the line.
If you want to change all the text at one end of the building only, Shift select each you want to change, right click and choose Change Style (not Update Style, as this will change all dimensions to below the line).

I have no idea what changing the scale to 1:1 will do to the text.  Text size is the exact size you want it to print on the paper - if you want text 2mm high when printed then that is the size you set it.  Similarly with distance -  eg 1mm above the line or -1mm below.

Have fun with that but be careful and save first!!!

Thanks Allan for the reply, much appreciated. The reason why I use 1:1 scale is because when the DWG file is imported to TC it does not have to be converted back to 1:1 scale if the file needs to be modified in some way. When imported at say 1:50 scale from TFP and adjust back to 1:1 in TC the conversion is always a few mm out for some reason.

Hi Bob,

It was just the text size I was wondering about, since that is sized by how it will print.

Re the transfer to TC: I wonder if it could be something to do with metric conversion? The default scale is usually 1:48 which is rather odd. Since an inch is 25.4 mm, I wonder if 50.8 might result in fixing the problem. Similar things have happened before. I don't know if you can set it to this however - may be just whole numbers. This is just speculation however. Have you discussed this with Jack?

Allan, drawing at 1:1 in TPF exports perfect scale to TC, so I think I will stick with what works.
