Difficculty getting building locations correct

I am having a lot trouble getting my ceiling and floor heights correct.  Here is how I have my locations configured:

Ground Floor - Floor ht 0", Wall ht 8', Ceiling ht 8'
Upper Floor - Floor ht 8'-11-1/2", Wall ht 10', Ceiling ht 10'

Still seeing gaps.  What am I missing here?

Hi Mark,

You locations seem OK to me.

With the settings you have at the moment, your floor will be level with the Terrain outside (this is OK but unusual, unless you are building on a mountain with no danger of flooding!! )  The default is 1' but I doubt that many have have a floor that thick (unless maybe if it is timber). In Australia a concrete floor slab is usually  100 - 150mm (4"-6") so we would normally have the Floor Level of the Ground Floor set to that.

Your second floor level is at at 8' - 11 1/2" This allows for the upper floor thickness of 11 1/2" on top of the 8' walls of the ground floor so that is OK. Then you have 10' walls for the upper floor. This seems unusual to me to have walls and ceiling higher upstairs than down but there is no reason why not - so everything appears OK and there technically should not be a gap - however....

Have you got a figure in the walls 'Drop Face'? It won't matter for the ground floor walls as you have the walls going right down to the ground, but for the upper floor you should have a Drop Face of 11 1/2" so that it hides the edge of the upper floor. I suspect that is what is causing your gap. (If you had allowed a thickness for the Floor on the Ground Floor  location, then you would need to enter a Drop Face for the Ground Floor walls also).
