odd display behavior

When I zoom to fit my workspace is shown as a tiny area on the screen.  Also in 3d view the workspace is minuturized and i have to zoom in to move the camera and target around.  I noticed there are now two parallel lines going vertically to the very top of the workspace, and based on the way the view/fit is functioning, they seem to be going to some object out in space.  I tried to select these lines and they are not clickable (in any of my building locations). I also tried selecting all in order to see if there is an object out in space but had no success.  I noticed also in the perspective view there is a strange white dashed line continuing beyond the work space and i presume this is related.  Any suggestions?

Hi Tom,

If you zoom in really close at the point the lines start you will almost certainly find a corrupt wall. Usually this is a bad wall joint maybe causing a tiny fragment of wall and the two lines are probably the basesboard being projected off into the distance. You generally have to delete the intersecting walls and remake the join cleanly.
