the cad man

Just finishing the final touches to a project called 'The Moonta'.  The plans and all modelling was done in TFP, then exported to Lumenrt 3 to add the animated characters (trees, people, birds and  wind effects) and rendered.  The final render is in full HD quality and a cut-down copy of the fly-by can be found on YouTube at:

While the file attached below is VERY grainy to limit file size.

Hi Gaz,

How long did the animation take to generate ? (not set up, just time to 'render' and produce the final)

You say the final is HD , how large is that file in resolution compared to the one on you tube?

I think the quality looks very good, the length is short , which to me indicates rendering time was high (over one hour?).

Hi Jack,

The build took a couple of days in TFP to get everything right, but Lumenrt 3 is a very powerful renderer, and the whole HD clip took just over an hour to create, BUT those few seconds of video cost 1.23 GB of space in full HD!
