Building an electrical wiring plan for town approval (Germany)

Hi Folks,

We planned the house extension, we built it, and now we have to plan the wiring before we build the interior walls.  We would like to know:

The wiring symbols appear to be US symbols -- we need to use a more international version.  Anyone have them?

Any suggestions for working with electrical wiring would be much appreciated.

Hi Cyndi,

The best solution would probably be to do a Google search for 'dwg electrical symbols' and import them. I did a quick search and there are many sites offering free symbols. There are many symbol variations around the world so you would just have to pick out the ones that are used where you live. They would only be 2D of course but that is all you need for an electrical diagram.
