new paint samples

G'day guys. I am trying to add new paint colours to my paint palette/textures/whatever. I can get the samples (scanned in) and then I tried to copy an existing paint, made the new hue and then resave under a new name. The paint colour is in the directory C:\ProgramData\IMSIDesign\TURBOFloorPlan3D Home & Landscape PRO 16\Textures as "Taubmans - Bolero Blue" , both as as bmp and a jpeg file. When I try to select the colour to apply I cannot find it in the any of the directories for "appearances". Where am I going wrong, or I cannot import new paint schemes or colours. The reason is the that the supplied  paint selections aren't available in Australia and it would be nice to use the colour cards available here.

Hi Bob,

Welcome to the forum.

How are you adding it? All you need to do is go to the Appearance tab, scroll through to Paint, right click and select Add, select Texture (not colour) then browse to your new colour.

You will notice that all the paints currently there are BMP and very small. BMP retains the colour consistently but it can vary in places with JPG.
