           Hi everybody :

I'm in need of some more advvice.    I want to try working with Animations. I did a quick animation of a new project.   it didn't turn out toooooo  bad.   I was able to record the first floor,  but I couldn't get the  control  points on the camera to  go up the steps to the second floor.  I saw in the HELP file where it says I can add additional Control  Points.  But, I couldn't get that part of the animation process to work, even though I was in 2D.  Plus I had a hard time elevating the control point that I had.       I'm happy with just the  "still shots"  of my  project.  This animation stuff IS just an experiment.

just use the animation toolbar to implement one of the needed commands.

For going up a stair be sure to start the camera at eye level lower node, then set the second upper node to the stair height plus eye level height.

     Mr. Zimmer :

I tried following your guidelines.   But,  I couldn't seem to get it to work.    I've included a snapshot of what I set up.   I clicked on, what I think is,  the Control Point, and nothing happens (being the objective is to elevate it to the proper height).  I tried doing it in 2D and 3D views.    I wonder if, maybe,  there's a glitch in  my software.   I've got TFP v15.

Hi Garystan,

When you select the Elevate command, hover over a 'control point', the select arrow should change to a circle with an X in it. Then click and option to change Elevation will pop up.

You could also select the Add Control Point option , then click any where on the animation line, a new control point should be added. There has been no problems I know of with previous versions. Make sure you have installed the latest updates though for the version you have on the TFPlan Support / Updates website.

   Jack Zimmer :

Thanks for your reply .   After a couple of hours playing around with Animations,  I found out how to do it.  But, one thing that isn't in the HELP Files, is the added documentation on HOW  to add Control Points.   I noticed that,  after clicking on the "+", your move your cursor to the  "line" (showing which direction the camera is to move), and you'll see what looks like an hour glass (more like to triangles with the tops facing each other), move this  between the second-to-last and the last Control Point, CLICK,  and you'll see another Control Point inserted.   The you can (what I did) move  the Control Point to a new location. Either changing the direction of the camera,  or moving it further along in the samed direction. Repeat this until you have all the Control Points needed.
In the HELP Files,  it doesn't mention that the cursor will change to that strange-shaped hour glass (which you use to insert the Control Point).       The only other thing I'd like to find out is how to change the angle of the camera.....in Animation mode.  Being the camera is  "level".......and you can adjust the height of the camera.     In case you wanted the camera to look up or down.
