I want my arched doorways to appear with a schedule mark and in my door schedule.  I can not seem to import the doorway object to the door catalog to do this.  Is this possible?

Thank you

Allan Chesney

The arched doorways already in the catalogue should automatically provide the marks and appear in the schedule. If you are trying to import a door into the catalogue from outside of TurboFloorPlan, then this cannot be done.  A TFP door will automatically cut a hole in the wall and build appropriate framing inside the wall - an outside object cannot do this, so it is not possible to import non-TFP doors or windows into these categories.

Are the build-in arched doors not suitable?

HI Allan and again thank you for your assistance and prompt reply.

I do not have any arched doorways in my door catalog, just several types of doors.  These work well, provide the schedule marks and appear in teh door schedule.

I only find to arched doorways in the "openings" tab.  These are just fine; however, they do not attach to the schedules or the schedule marks.  I want them to do that.

I looked for a way to move those openings to the door tab but no luck.  I also thought about creating another door in the door tab but again no luck with just an arched opening.

You can change many doors to arched by just changing the Style option.

I see that however all I am after is a passageway ... not an actual door.  I could make that work I suppose but it would show as an actual door in the floor plan instead of as an archway.

I just tried that and if I set the door opening to 0 it works fine ... I will stick with that.

Thanks again.

Openings is the way to do this, but it will not list in the Door Schedule. Normally the door schedule is used for ordering the correct doors.  If there isn't a door then it does not need to be ordered so it does not list it.

If you still want to use a door for the purpose and down want it to show on the plan then change its 2D line style of the Swing, to Invisible. You may want to change your arched door name to just read Archway or something similar, otherwise the schedule will list the door.
