I feel like an idiot I had TFP V16 and had no problems putting in appliances.

I cant even find the items in this version, there doesn't even seem to be basic versions available let alone where to import them.

Im sure it's there , but I have looked forever.

Thanks,

Hab

Hi Hab,

Do you mean kitchen appliances?
- If you are looking for stoves, fridges embedded in cabinets => use the Cabinet tool ( Floor tab)
- If you are looking for stoves, fridges without cabinets => Tool Options (right pane) => 3D library => Furnishing => Kitchen => Appliances. The Furnishing tab includes a Search feature => type the name of the desired object (stove, for example) => the right tab will show the results
- If you wish to import objects => File => Import => Select the desired format

TFP,  as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components.
If you are interested to learn the program, check my e-books (links are below, in my signature), one of them is free.

Weird, I have.

3D Object Library Tab.
Alternative Power.
Solar Power.

In the 3D object Library Tab, options.

I search for Stove and nothing comes up.
============

I noticed in my cabinets that I can select a cabinet with a Wall Oven , Microwave.

But when I apply the Object only the default cabinet shows up.

Thank you for the help.

Hi there,

In several items of the program, you will see small triangles on the right side of the icons or tabs. By clicking on these triangles, you will open the drop down menus with additional options, categories, etc.
In this case, at the right of the tabs, the small triangles (outlined in red in the 1st image attached) will open the different the categories, so you can choose the Kitchen category (outlined in green in the 1st image attached) => by choosing this category, you will be opening the subcategories => you can choose the subcategory Appliances (outlined in blue in the 1st image attached)

If you click on the 3D library triangle => the drop down menu will open and you will be able to find and open the "Search 3D objects" feature (outlined in green in the 2nd image attached) => in the field, you can write the name of the desired 3D object (stove, in this case) =>  a new button will show "Search stove" (for example) (outlined in red in the 2nd image attached) => below, you will get the thumbnails of all the Stove objects.

When you use the Cabinet icon (Floor Tab), you have two options to place the cabinets
- If you place the cabinet by clicking on the floor of the room, the program will set an island cabinet
- If you place the cabinet by clicking on the wall of the room, the program will set a wall cabinet using the selected model => See attached
Tip: after you insert the cabinet by clicking on the wall => select the cabinet on the plan => go to the cabinets' drop down menu => select the desired model => the selected cabinet (floor plan) will become the selected cabinet in the drop down menu

It seems I am missing these tabs.

I dont have the kitchen or appliance tab's at all.

Just 3D Objects Tab.

I used to use 3D max in the day so I have a decent idea how software works, plus I designed out house using the last version I had, but i it didnt have the landscape ability like this does, why I bought this.

It seems this is missing some options.

The tabs should be there
I'd suggest that you contact technical assistance

This is a scn cap of what I have

You image is showing the triangles. What happens if you click on the triangle outlined in red in the image attached?
The button should be darker (meaning active) and the menu should open as shown in the image attached

OMG.. I clicked the Solar power triangle and only panels came up.

Thank you so much.

You're welcome!  :)

But the ovens are not in the correct tab, right?

I guess it's ok, unusual to click a Tab and not have a Sub Menu drop down.

Here it changes the visible tab all together.

I would have thought clicking the Triangle on Alternative Power would bring up options like Heat Pumps or something, not a whole different menu.

I really appreciate the help.

As a matter of fact, Alternative Power is the first Category, so by clicking the triangle on the right => the drop down menu opens and you can see the remaining categories
The tab below of Alternative Power reads "solar power" and it is the subcategory
You will find more information regarding this subject in the pages 25 - 26 of the User's Guide
