lights dont turn on

I've been trying to get the lights on, but nothing works. The lights in the kitchen are on and working, but the other lights aren't. I've gone into properties, clicked on the lights tab, and make sure the eye is open on the light source, but this is also not working.

Now, when I try to add new lights anywhere, they aren't on either.

Are you talking about on screen lights or when rendered? Only about 8 lights will show on screen. If you render the image (View menu  /Real View ) the others will appear.

If you use Advanced Render you must set Quality to at least 3 to get all lights. Most have to turn Hardware Acceleration off for this to work.
