Can I modify Materials in TFP 3D in the Mac version?

Is the ability to add new textures and modify objects something that is only available for the PC version? I have the mac version and I do not see these options.

Absolutely not! both the PC and Mac versions have these options.
Add textures: File => Import => Image to 3D Material library (outlined in red in the image "Mac Version Importing Materials.jpg"
Modify Objects: Place an object => select the object => all the properties, elements and libraries will appear always in the inspector => for this reason, confirm if the inspector is visible => Window menu => show Inspector => select the information tab (a blue circle with an "i" ) => you can see the Inspector and the information tab pointed in green in the image "Mac Version Modifying Objects.jpg" => you can change the objects dims in the information tab.

TFP, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components.

I figured out how to upload new textures and that has been really nice.

I suppose I misspoke when I said "modify". I know how to modify the size and shape and colors of the objects but I have seen some people reference a 3D custom work shop power tool that I have not been able to locate.

Is the 3D custom power tool the same as what I have been doing?

So, your second question is related with Power Tools: the Mac versions don't include the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool.
