 I recently started using the turbofloorplan- v18, and have run  into a few difficulties
1. how do I make the size of custom walls according to inner  measurements? everytime  I change the size it alters the rest of the plan
2.how do   I change color and size of numbers of dimension wall spacing?

Hi there,

Depends of your program, the situation and your preferences.
1 - If the room are enclosed spaces, I prefer to select and nudge each wall => you will see the interior dims in the room label (see attached)
2 - To draw walls with the exact dims => use the Custom wall length tool (outlined in red in the second image)
2 - To set or change the length of a wall, deck, rail, etc => use the Resize segment tool (outlined in green in the second image)

2.how do   I change color and size of numbers of dimension wall spacing?

Change the all the dimensions' size and font => Design => Options => 2D => Dimensioning and Fonts.
To change the colors => move the dims to the different tabs => the dimension will adopt the color of the selected tab

thanks, Ill try . i also want to know  how to change the color of   accessories  such as toilet,faucet etc. they come out too light.
and also the text that i add does not always come out the same color. thanks

Hi there,

You're welcome!

If the toilet is attached, you can't change the color of the toilet in 2D. Use a toilet as object (from the library) and move to another tab

Text:as I stated, the text and dimensions use the color of the tab where they are inserted. If you move all the texts to the same tab, they will appear with the same color.

hi- i cat find colors in the fonts? is it because it is a trial version?
also - when i tried to convert plan to jpeg it comes out very small' can it be saved as a larger image?

i managed to change color by using  edit => preferences=>design color.

is it possible  to make templates- drawing something and saving the shape?

Hi there,

As I explained above, you can change the color of the font by moving them to other tab => for example the texts in the Floor tab and the texts in the Roof tab will appear with different colors. Just select the text => Move to Plan => Roof, Deck, etc.

Yes, you can create templates using the Templates tab => Create templates. You will find more info in the User's Guide => page 120 => "Creating New Templates"

Plan to jpg => depend of your printing settings (scale, paper size, etc)

TFP, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components.

i am reading the manual and still pretty perplexed/ i want to save image or print it- at the moment only one room-. i tried to print to scale and have it fit on one page- it is supposed to fit in but i end up with my room divided into 4 pages, or get the whole room on one page and get alot of other pages with empty grid- what am i doing wrong?

Hi there,

In order to print, TFP collects all the info in the plan, so if you have any object (even a dot) in any corner, the program will consider it as part of the plan and will print it (you can see a remote line in the image attached, outlined in red) => in this case you'll get blank pages or blank space in the paper
To solve this, select the house => select the plan (rectangular selection around the walls, don't use Select all!!) => Edit => copy => open a new (and empty) file => Paste => try to print from this new file.
or
In order to find the missing point, you can also try this => Floor tab => Click on the name of the tab => select all the tabs as visible => Edit => Select all => Edit => Move to plan => Floor => Click again on the name of the tab => select all the tabs as visible less one tab (say the detail tab) => select the visible elements (walls, furniture, etc) => Move to plan => Detail (in this case) => be sure that you moved all the visible elements to one tab => You will see the Floor plan empty (apparently) => In the floor tab => Edit => Select All => Use the Delete key in your keyboard => this for sure will delete even a small dot.
And, very important!!! (for any process you choose) => just in case you have all the floors visible => repeat the process in the remaining floors.
Always preview the printing, set the desired paper size and orientation and verify if the current plant, in the current scale fits the desired size of paper.
