Painting not working

Argh! I've tried EVERYTHING! Can't paint a wall no matter what I try. I get the paint brush symbol when I select a color but then it just changes to the little yellow man walking and there's no change in color. I've tried in 3D view and room view. Nothing changes. I tried on a wall close to a window through which I could see the sky. After I selected the color the wall didn't change but the sky was gone replaced by the color.  Just another frustration with this program. I placed a dishwasher in the kitchen and the door was fine but the washer chassis was sitting on the counter. I've bought the program but I'm getting close to refund time. Too many things don't work!

As you probably know, I am just a volunteer here, trying to help TFP users. I don't work for any manufacturer.
For this reason, if you wish to refund the program, I can't help you and this is not the correct place. Please, feel free to contact Customer Service.

However, as other users read the posts, I'd like to clarify some points:
- I don't think that the things don't work => so far, you didn't answered my questions, you didn't describe the issues in detail, you (mostly) don't acknowledge the answers, you didn't post any image and you didn't attach any file. So, how can I provide solutions if I can't see the problems?
- I believe that you have a hardware problem with an easy solution, but in order to help you I need to know if you just want a refund or you really want a solution for your problem.
- If you wish a solution, please, just let me know. Also, I need an answer to my first question => do you use TFP for Mac or TFP for Windows?

We have a "failure to communicate", Patricia. Not sure why. I have acknowledged every one of your helpful answers and I thought answered any questions you had. When you talk about not including files I had I posted a message that I wanted to, but the forum said I could not include files of the type created by the program. I did take screenshots of the placement of the range hood and included those and got a response with the solution right away.

I certainly wasn't asking for a refund on the forum. I was only expressing my frustration that things didn't work as advertised. This not being able to paint issue is just the latest thing not working. I also tried very hard to follow along with your answer to the question about a porch roof but this didn't work either. This is not my first CAD program, in fact, I used an earlier version of this one that I loved but I also thought that the earlier version was far more intuitive.
