I am feeling particular stupid tonight, but when I start each project I am on the outside designing windows and roofs.  I want to design an inside.   How do I move from outside to inside?

I design virtually everything in the 2D floorplan mode and use 3D views for seeing the results and rendering to a file.

In 2D view you simply select the tab for "interiors", select an item and drag it into position and modify it for your needs (select item, rt-click, properties).

You can do this in 3D too but its harder to carefully position things in 3D.....use camera controls to move your 3D view (use "walk" or similar) and you can move right thru walls or any objects.

If you setup view manager you can jump between several views in 2D and 3D easily...or have both open at same time side by side.

you can navigate around your 3d model using the zoom and navigate tools. to turn these on go into program settings, select toolbars and make sure the zoom and navigate toolbar is showing. you can now walk, fly or look around your model. you can pass through walls to see the inside close up. of course a much easier way to see the inside of your house is to turn the roof off. you accomplish this by selecting, view -> view filter and clicking the eye by "roof" to hide the roof. hope this helps.
