Unfortunately it will only calculate the area by the Location (Ground Floor/ Second etc).  Tools / Calculate/Estimate / Area/Perimeter.

If you want to calculate by room the only "Automatic" way I can think of is to make a new location for the purpose and just trace the room you want to measure with another wall and then have a look at the calculation. You would then have to drag the walls to line up with the next room and get the calcualtion again.  Bit of a painful process!

I think a request has already been put in for this to be added.
