Dimensioning walls

When making working drawings, I like to run the dimension string from the outside of the exterior wall to the center of the interior walls. This eliminates the problem of different thicknesses for finish and stud walls.  When I try to do this I get a string that starts in the center of the outside wall or one shows the thickness of the outsidewall and runs the dimension line from the inside of the wall.  How can I make the string start at the outside surface?

I don't think there is any way to change this.  Looks like it needs to go in the Feature Requests.
