EXTRAs Download

I'm new to FloorPlan. When I signed up to these forums, I got the Welcome E-Mail and the download address for the EXTRAs (catalogs??). I downloaded them but am having trouble seeing them; Windows comes back and says it doesn't know what to use to open them..ie..what program created them. Do I need another download of someting??? Onc I get them..a quick hint as to how I get them into my attempt at a kitchen design..Thans

You can't open/view the files directly, they need to be opened from within TFP using the catalog manager....and only one catalog can be open at one time.

See the help file but its pretty easy....something like open catalog manager, open/install new catalog (find on hard drive) and use it like the std catalog.....and if you want to go back to the std catalog you must repeat the steps but open the file that came with TFP....so be sure you know how to find it again.  The file/paths program settings will lead you there.

You can merge catalogs but run the risk of program slowing down too much.

I bought the physical CD and it was on CD.

I think there may be someone who was able to download from their supplier....search this forum for a lead....but in all honesty there is not much and after looking once I have not opened them again.

I basically did the same thing, opened them once. I think I may have copied one or two items into the main catalog but the rest I knew I would never use. Bathrooms for example had all the fittings and if they were i the wrong place relative to each other. too bad!
