Floor & foundation questions

I turned auto floor off to work with one room and didn't like my results, so I deleted that floor & turned auto flooring back on.  Now the sill of all of my doors doesn't show the floor - the rooms are fine,just the flooring under the doors.  What'd I'd do?
Second question:  I turned off drop exterior siding so I could apply brick to the foundation.  I looks exactly as I want it except, viewing the outside of the house, everywhere there is a wall, there is a space in the foundation.  Anyway to over come this?  When I turn back on drop exterior siding, the space goes away.

If you added the floor by room then you can just select it and drag the edge to meet the floor in the other rooms.

Not quite sure what you mean by a space around the foundation. Is it just the hole in the terrain? If so turn the "Auto cut terrain" off in Settings/Program Settings/Terrain.

In your Location Settings you will see that by Default the Ground Floor is 1' above the terrian. The 'drop exterior face' check box is there to fill in that gap on the exterior. Either reset your location setting to 0 (zero) if in fact your ground floor is on the ground or use the Trim settings.

If you select a wall and right click (select Properties), you will see a tab called Trim.

If you set the Application to 'Exterior Side' you can then chose the Custom trim and Select box to scroll down to Brick for a brick exterior application. You can also make a custom brick size , texture there.

Then just adjust the gap and offset.

This should allow you to Customize a wall brick application to any size, texture you desire and to have it applied to the walls you wish.

Hi Jack,

Nice to hear from you again and thanks for pointing out the right way to handle the foundartion 'gap'.  I should heve realsied what it was but I did not have TFP handy and I replied using my phone.  I have found that TFP does not work very well on a mobile phone!!!

Thanks, Jack!  We're half way there.  This fixed the gaps in the foundation and lookes perfect!! Yippee!

Sigh, but the interior floor problems still exsist.

Allan, no, I didn't do floors by room.  When I delete the wall/door, the floor is perfect.  But when I insert a wall and then a door, I have the gap under the door.  After zooming in WAY close, you can actually see the ground under the door sill.  I have cut around terrain turned off.

Ok, Alan, how do I fix this?

I cannot duplicate this unless the two rooms have separate floors.  With Auto Floor on there is certainly no hole under the door in my tests. Does it behave that way on a totally new model with just the 4 walls and interior wall/door? If it does post the BLD file so we can have a look at it and see why (hopefully).  If it is only on your working model then you may have to post that instead.

Select the door and Elevate (right click) 1/8" or so.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but no sill is being created because it is in conflict with the location settings (two items occupying the same space).

Ok, after fiddling around a LOT, I got it fixed.  I turned auto floor off, saved, closed, opened, turned auto floor back on and it didn't do ANY floors.  So I went to insert floor by perimeter, it then put the floors in WITHOUT spaces under the doors. 

Now, another problems regarding the foundation.  I did the suggestion given earlier to kill the spaces in the foundation (from outside view) and this did kill those spaces but upon closer view, the brick on the fondation is applied as if it is trim.  i.e.  The brick is not even with the exterior wall, it extends out as trim would do. 
I fiddled a lot with the setting for doing this custom feature, but I can not get it even with the exterior wall. 
Other ideas?
