I just love this product. I'm looking for elements to do with home security and safety ... smoke alarms, PIRs, control units, cameras etc. Any ideas.

Hi Bob,

This might be a question of using some things to make others or doing a Google search for 3DS items. 
You will find a smoke alarm under Electrical / Sensors but there does not seem to be a camera.  I have made up a couple of simple ones from other things (Interior Accessories - Add Shapes eg box and cylinder for camera - exported and saved as a 3DS so you can import it) and same with a disk and light dome to make the camara in a dome.  Once you import it, set Mat(erial)0 to Tinted Glass and you will see the camera inside.  You can change the other colours, size etc  after import.

You can also try to find some home safety and security on http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ one tip download also the free Google Sketch Up program to edit the 3d image if there is a shadow you can take it away, if you will.
