Hello... I cant Raytrace any project under Vista Home Premium+Sp1 and Turbofloorplan Home&Landscape pro v12 (patch installed).
Under Windows XP Sp2 everything works fine.... Its been tested on 2 PC with same OS and TFP and i get the same error, so it doesnt have to do with HW conf. The following msg on event viewer after crash is...

Hi

This is not a problem with the program but with the Visual C programming language it was written in.

You need to upgrade/repair these packages.  Installing just the dll does not work.

They are downloadable from Microsoft.

You should install:

Vista Service Pack 1.

Strongly advise that you go to programs/accessories/windows update and run the update from there.

Only do this if you have ADSL as it is a cool 350mb download!

If this does not work then get these from the Microsoft downlaod site (Google them).

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) Service pack 1
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

Good luck

Yeah must be because I am running Vista Home Premium SP1 and have not had any crashes.

Crashes have also been reported on some PCs if Hardware acceleration is on, so keep this in mind also. (Settings / Program Settings / Graphics ) I keep it on while moving around the model but have to turn it off for rendering, especially Radiosity.

I did all that but problem still the same.... :( :( :(

Do you have the same problems with Radiosity (Advanced) render? It produces a much more realistic image although it is slower of course.

Well I found that TFP crashed only when i select in 3d real view the Raytrace under "Basic"....in Advanced all work fine!!!!!! but i dont want to render all the project all the time to get 1 raytraced image.... :)

You can disable radiosity on the advanced tab and just use raytrace.  That should save you some time.  But in my case the radiosity doesn't really take that much longer (depends on the model size and number of light sources).
