Hi All, I am brand new here and a new user to TFP - I had a freebie version of FP3D which was great...then I wanted more...

I have pulled my hair out for 2 evenings now trying to create a Bullnosed roof.
The roof has a 12 Deg pitch A frame portal structure with a 7m lean-to on one side. It measures 7.5m (horizontal distance) from apex to bullnose then it curves to vertical and meets the wall 3.5m below the bullnose on one side, the other side the roof travels (horizontal distance) 14.5m and also curves to vertical and meets the wall 2m below the bullnose, so it has an offset apex.

I can create a regular symmetrical hip roof with gable ends, as soon as I introduce the bullnose alone one long end the apex changes for the worse and all values go pearshaped. I tried making 2 roofs, fiddling with all the values and after a while it all is so out of shape I delete it and try again.

I find no references to bullnosed roofs at all.

Thanks to all
Regards
Brian

Hi Brian,

Welcome to the Forum.

If you look on the Basic tab in roof properties you will see a roof image in the upper left corner called Roof Shape. Click the image and you will see Bullnose as one of the options. Should be easy from there.

One of the things you learn with TFP is to double click everything! Some things are buried really deep!
