Inserting a Dormer Roof in FloorPlan 3D v11

Hello.
I realise that this may not be the correct forum, but I am hoping that somebody may be able to help me.

I have recently purchased Floorplan 3D v11. Everything appears to be going well with the exception that I cannot get the Dormer Roof to insert.

All of the other roof types will insert okay, but the Dormer will not.

The steps I am taking are:

Select Insert Roof

            Select roof type: Dormer

                        Insert

Result: An image of a roof appears attached to a crosshairs (similar to that which you might see when inserting an object). But the roof will not

Hi,

The old FloorPlan User Forums are still in opertion, so why not ask the question there, (and I will answer it).

Hint: the Dormer is just an object and doesn't connect to walls, it has to snap into a section of a Roof you have already inserted.

Also searching the old Forum for 'attic room' will give you the information you need.
